I believe every student just needs the right teaching method to learn and in this role, I get the opportunity to try every method I can research to help my students understand a concept that they didn't learn in the classroom setting. An example of this is teaching 6 different methods of multi-digit multiplication to a student before finding one that worked for them. I believe it is my role to teach myself out of a job, so while I teach content, I am similtaneously teaching study skills and independent learning techniques to my students to help them help themselves. This includes creating year level appropriate lessons with no notice. Helped to take care of children before and after school which included; provided breakfast/afternoon tea, supervising activities, creating activities and learning opportunities.One of the activities I helped to personally create was a solve the Rubix cube area. This included providing Rubix's cubes, along with instruction and guidance. By its conclusion, 7 students had solved a Rubix's cube, some multiple times. I helped the lead educator to set-up and perform activities and learning opportunities for the children, as well as taking care of their physical needs.I was sometimes a floater, which means I change between age groups and am primarily responsible for cleaning duties, which includes everything from cleaning the bathrooms, to the lockers, to mopping. I did a variety of jobs. My jobs were to wash dishes, dry them, put them away, collect them off the tables, keep the cafe clean inside and out, give costumer service and process orders, make sure everything in the store was well-stocked, make milk shakes and ice chocolates/coffees and to make coffees and serve cakes.I basically did whatever the manager wanted me too and when left without direction, I did what I thought was needed.
