I am the Project manager for the Linen Awareness Program which bundles ten strategies related to linen management. I assist customers to achieve their fiscal goals while continuing to provide excellent patient experiences. I provide education by multiple methods such as signage, plant tours, tip of the month, huddle discussions, presentations and videos. I analyze data to individualize the approach to improve linen usage and decrease linen loss while improving customer satisfaction.

I led a new initiative for performance improvement to connect education with strategic business goals. I implemented a process for learning and performance plans which combined education and a learning and accountability package to support the learner to apply what was learned. Data were collected to prove successful behavior change that impacted goals of the organization such as IT security metrics to show excellence in performance after staff training.As part of a reorganization of the department, I analyzed data over a two-year period to determine its success. I showcased a decrease in work hours billed and an increase in instructional projects implemented by almost 50%. This was done without compromising quality of work or satisfaction from the learner.

I was the educator for the Women’s and Children’s Department and taught orientation classes to new graduate nurses and those new to the specialty. This included coordinating education for Labor and Delivery including OR classes, postpartum, gynecology, well-baby and neonatal intensive care.I was the point person for continuing professional development through Virginia Nurses Association to award nursing contact hours. These educational events ensured quality programs for the enhancement of practice.

I managed the day-to-day operations of six-bed Level 3A NICU and three-bed progressive care nursery.
