About Dyer Oxley
I grew up delivering newspapers. Now I deliver online content. The mission has always been the same: get you the information you need to know. I’m a versatile reporter at my core, trained through the newspaper industry. I’ve covered city hall and police beats, as well as arts and lifestyle. I’ve since taken my journalism experience into the radio and TV industries, helping convert what goes on air into what can thrive online. In this role, I edit reporters’ work while helping them navigate everything from CMS platforms to photo requirements. And I also produce my own coverage ranging from breaking news to in-depth features. Googling my name will inevitably bring up NW NERD, a podcast that emerged alongside my career. NW NERD covers the pop culture scene throughout the Pacific Northwest — what I like to call the “geekonomy.” It’s filled with creators, small business owners, fans, and more, each with their own stories to tell. NW NERD covers this beat unlike other podcasts, focusing on a journalistic approach with narrative storytelling (it’s been referred to as “This American Nerd”). The work produced through this indie podcast has garnered professional awards and has been picked up by local public and commercial radio.
Listed skills include Editing, Feature Articles, Editorial, Newspapers, and 31 others.
