The Big Data Project: led by Dr. Ruby Mendnehall , The Big Data Project seeks to recover Black Womens lost history. The project is dedicated to recovering information about Black Women since 1746. By using LDA algorithms we have currently secured 800,000 documents about Black Women. Furthermore, by using web scraping algorithms, database design and relational database methodologies we plan on storing the recovered histories in an "open" platform so that both researchers and Black women in the community can access this information.
