Creativity cannot be taught, it is developed through an expansive understanding and passion for the subject matter. In my case, solving problems is my passion. This passion only grew stronger the older I got. Eventually I knew that to be truly happy with my career path I needed to be in a position whereby I was posed challenging questions on a daily basis. Engineering for me, involves making everyday life simpler, safer, and more innovative. My time at the University of Pretoria introduced me to various different people from different backgrounds all with the drive and passion required to succeed. It was here where I learnt that in order to be successful in anything, hard work is paramount. This trait is one I will carry throughout my lifetime.Being a mechanical design engineer with a relaxed and inquisitive personality enables me to tap into my more creative side and make a positive impact on the company and each employee as well as inspiring each and everyone I meet
