From July 2014 I began using spare time to pursue my keen interest in sports journalism, and in particular, writing about the NFL.I was hired by Livewire Sport to work on the Channel 4 studio set for the production of Super Bowl XLIX. This involved working under extreme pressure though the night, providing studio presenters (Nat Coombs and Mike Carlson) with relevant statistics/facts/social media content to be used throughout the broadcast.I then worked for Livewire Sport on weekends between my full-time job, learning skills such as live blogging and a more detailed view of the role of social media in the modern sport industry. Jobs included social media output for the Six-Nations, live blogging for the World Rugby 7's, and paraphrasing live Premier League commentary.August 2015 to 2016 I worked as a digital and social media producer for BT Sport, my role including clipping live content (including UCL, Premier League, NBA and UFC) and creating graphics in line with BT Sport’s style guide for use on social media, Editing video to create highlight packages. My next role was as Brand social media manager for Marathonbet, managing all social channels and working with marketing, PR and digital managers on all content. Responsible for devising and running all social content for Marathonbet’s SBC award-Winning Non League Challenge (Twitter handle now @MBNonLeagueShow and unfortunately not being utilised). I was the sole contact for clubs and players, building relationships with fans, clubs and players and creating video/graphic content alongside the video manager to drive engagement and awareness. Grew the channel to 16,000+ followers with exceptionally high engagement rates from scratch from November 2016 to August 2018.I am now a freelance graphic artist and content creator, specialising in graphic art, idea conception, script writing and presenting, with clients including NFLUK, ITV, Formula One, Livewire Sport, Spartan Race and Vanarama.
