Warwick Politics Society

Representing and protecting the interests of 1st Year members of the Warwick Politics Society by attending meetings, offering feedback and assisting the organisation of events.

Debating key issues affecting young people in Cardiff and the surrounding area, targeting public transport, youth services and free school meals. I attended workshops and cafés which brought people of different backgrounds together to promote new ideas for how we can tackle deprivation and inequality among young people in the city, analysing socio-cultural factors to reach solutions. An extended experience of public speaking has bolstered my confidence and ability to articulate opinions, allowing me to communicate effectively with peers and to an audience.
