I’m a PhD candidate who lives and works on the unceded, ancestral, and traditional territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. My PhD project analyzes how shape-shifters disrupt, respond to, and/or replicate colonial and racial power structures in the Americas. As a current member of the Arts PhD co-op program, I aim to apply the skills, knowledge, and interests from my studies into helping organizations, something I hope to continue after finishing my studies. I am passionate and interested in decolonial and anti-racist work, and I have extensive experience researching and writing in a variety of genres and workplace settings. I also have experience in tutoring, teaching, and proofreading, and am familiar with Microsoft Office, Zoom, Asana, Google MyMaps, Miro, among others, and have worked in autonomous and team settings. In my spare time, I love activities and sports. I particularly love ultimate frisbee, but I also enjoy climbing, disc golf, biking, cross-country skiing, board games, brain puzzles, and more. The team building and thought processes that go into these activities have proven useful in workplace settings, offering different ways of thinking through and solving problems.
