My name is Dylan Batty (he/they)I've been working as a Gallery Technician/Art Handler since 2014 across a diverse range of Institutions and Galleries, including Artspace Sydney, National Art School, Sullivan & Strumpf, 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art among many others. I run a small business, Batty Fine Art & Logistics, that provides a wide range of art services to a number of clients around Australia. These range from Art Installation and Gallery changeovers, to complete Gallery Fit-outs, Gallery design, and Project Management. I also offer timber fabrication services, ranging from simple plinth builds to complete Artwork fabrication, as well as Art Transportation services to local and regional areas.I attended Sydney College of the Arts, completing my Bachelor of Fine Arts with honours in 2015, receiving the Deans Award For Honours and the University Medal. Following this I completed my Masters of Fine Art by research at University of New South Wales Art & Design in 2019.Since 2013 I have practiced as an artist, showing work around Australia and overseas, as well as participating in the Firstdraft studio residency program in 2020.I have a passion for making and designing things with my own hands. I love learning and expanding my knowledge and skill-set. From landscaping to carpentry, resin pouring, rally driving, set building, painting, sewing, drawing, welding and racing car design. If I don’t know how to do something, I learn and practice until I'm proficient.
