I integrate, analyze, and manage access to datasets with billions of records and graphs with billions of nodes and edges. Technologies I use to facilitate include Apache Spark, Hadoop (MapR), Apache Cassandra (ScyllaDB), Elasticsearch, JanusGraph, Apache TinkerPop, and OmniSci (formerly MapD, distributed GPU analytics). I program in Java, C++/CUDA, Python, JavaScript, Bash, Groovy, and occasionally R. I use Ansible for SysAdmin/DevOps, and keep myself organized using Git, TaskWarrior, and Org-Mode. I like Emacs, but I also use vi, VScode and Eclipse at times.I practice data mining, data science, and machine learning. I enjoy reading papers to understand what "state-of-the-art" means in fields that excite me.
