My first real experience in the world of entrepreneurship was a good one. It had always been something I dreamed of doing since I was young, I always thought it was really cool that people were able to make so much out of themselves starting with so little. On the job I personally performed all onsite labor as well as out of the field I handled all business functions such as keeping a detailed personal ledger tracking all of my expenditures and revenues throughout the season. I was able to utilize my analytical skills while searching for the correct target market in my area, this research lead me to a 20% boost in clientele. Among the multitude of skills and experience that I acquired throughout this adventure there was another very important self discovery, and that is my inclination towards sales. I found that one of my favorite things about running the company was building professional relationships with my customers or other people in the industry. I began to realize my potential when selling customers on certain landscaping plans and pitches.
