Our team at Aston Economics Society, where I serve as Social Secretary, has been instrumental in bolstering student engagement through innovative events since February 2024. Concurrently, as a Sport Activator at Doug Ellis Woodcock Sports Centre from March 2024, we've successfully promoted health and fitness among the university community. My academic journey at Aston University, pursuing a BSc in Economics and Politics, underpins my roles with a strong theoretical foundation and a commitment to applying economic principles to real-world issues. These experiences, paired with my educational pursuits, reflect a dedication to leadership, community involvement, and the application of my studies to practical initiatives.I also had the valuable opportunity to gain work experience in an MP’s office. This hands-on exposure allowed me to delve into the intricacies of parliamentary processes and assist directly with constituents’ concerns. Whether assisting with casework or supporting the MP’s legislative work, I developed a comprehensive understanding of the political landscape and honed my communication and problem-solving skills. My time in the MP’s office reinforced my commitment to community service and deepened my appreciation for the impact that policy decisions can have on people’s lives.
