Responsible for alignment, calibration, and operation of sensor packages consisting of radiometric, multispectral, hyperspectral, and imaging sensors for data collects on point source targets. Operate a wide range of lab equipment for calibration and system analysis (Monochromator, blackbody sources, interferometer, etc.). Utilize optical design software (Zemax OpticsStudio) to prototype systems.

Student run program that designs, manufactures, and tests an all-terrain vehicle. As a team member, assisted in design and manufacturing of drive train components for Model '17 vehicle. Responsible for assisting with design of gearbox and engine bracing. Responsible for manufacturing miscellaneous components for vehicles using machining skills.As Chief Mechanic, organized manufacturing schedule and approved drawing for manufacturing. Maintained a orderly shop space and kept supplies of consumable parts stocked. Helped coordinate transition into new shop space during Summer of 2017.Baja is my life. If I'm not working on homework, sitting in class, or climbing I am putting in hours in our design lab or machine shop. There people I work with on this team are my best friends and it is an absolute pleasure to get to work with them. It is amazing to see a car get built from scratch each year and take risks with new innovations. When there are unforeseen issues with designs we have to work quickly to come up with workarounds and maintain a running car. A favorite of mine is the story of our CVT guard made of a Redbull can. At a particular endurance race the metal guard protecting the transmission belt of the car was partially destroyed. Making a new one was simple but we were having trouble covering the input shaft to the gearbox since it stuck out quite a bit from the rest of the system. In a last ditch effort we cut up a red bull can and riveted it to the rest of the guard. It worked. This part was the first thing that caught my eye when I originally showed up to the Baja shop and it immediately sealed my future on the team.

Worked with FRED and SOLIDWORKS to create optical models of systems and evaluate changes being made to systems. Design was primarly related to illumination and optomechanial elements. Researched products that could be implemented into existing systems and built models in FRED to reflect potential changes.
