Completed a three-month internship then offered position to still work with this company remotely from home while attending school. Hired to learn the companies’ program in development, Meta 4.0, and create job operations with it while teaching machinists on the floor how to use this program. Used Solidworks daily.• Cataloged existing tooling in an excel database based on tool characteristics to provide an efficient method for employees to find tooling and keep inventory, also organized all tooling accordingly on-site and created all tooling in an ERP database• Created 3D models in Solidworks as well as 2D prints based on customer prints➢ Redrew customer prints to standardize prints for shop operations and ensure allgeometry was possible to manufacture based on tolerancing and customer specs➢ Ensured proper GD&T on 2D prints and proper measuring procedures bymachinists on the floor➢ Worked closely with highly experienced machinists and various work centers tocreate in process prints for intermediate stages of manufacturing➢ Developed process and instructions for creation of 2D in process prints permachinist’s methodology and programming of projects using Meta 4.0 inconjunction with JobBoss➢ Created fixtures and prototyped them on a 3D printer• Programmed part files in Meta 4.0 based on dimension characteristics of 2D prints➢ Assisted the lead engineer in teaching machinists on the floor how to use thisprogram for their job operations➢ Input all drawing characteristics and tolerancing into each part file➢ Created job operations for each part based on each operation at each work centerwhich included measurement with correct instrumentation of each individual partas well as any notes per job specs➢ Used all data based on machinist’s data input per part to rip reports from Meta 4.0to be analyzed for improvement of efficiency of manufacturing➢ Wrote instructions for future employees to follow to maintain consistency andcreate a standard to follow
