I am a Master automobile technician, having started in 1993. During and after my college education, I began my career in an independent shop where we specialized in import vehicle repair. I earned ASE master level certification and the L1 advanced diagnostic certification. I then moved on to Jake Sweeney Mazda where I quickly advanced to the level of Mazda Master Technician. I was mentor to several young technicians during my years at JSM. I competed in the Mazda Master Technician completion several times, earning a fourth place regional win, a first place regional win, a third place regional win, and a fourth place national win. I also won five JSM technician of the year awards. I was then asked to transfer to Jake Sweeney BMW as the the Shop Foreman. I performed my duties and met my goals. I earned the Level 1 certification (master). I ultimately moved back to the repair technician position. I am also the shop trainer and have successfully mentored two technicians. In 2011 I was awarded JSB technician of the year. I also spent five years as an adjunct professor teaching automotive technology at Cincinnati State College. I am currently an Assistant Scoutmaster for our Boy Scout troop and the den leader for our Cub Scout pack. I am fully trained by the Boy Scouts of America.
