Technology Risk Managed and led the IT external audit engagements for a large international bank operating within Australia and a major player in the wealth management sector. This included the planning, execution and reporting of audit scope by performing as the main client liaison for delivery of the audit; Managed team work allocations to ensure engagements were delivered on time and within budget; Worked closely with business process auditors to identify relevant IT automated controls to be tested; Designed and developed test procedures based upon the identified controls and their relationship to the business process and IT risks; Oversaw the delivery of audit fieldwork through providing direction to team members, interviewing stakeholders, testing the design and operating effectiveness of controls and reviewing and documenting workpapers; Produced audit reports and led discussions with senior client stakeholders in relation to the status of the audit and identified control deficiencies.

Technology Risk Worked predominately with clients from the financial services industry, including banks, wealth managers, super funds and payments facilitators; Led external IT audit engagements and provided guidance to junior staff as the team tested the design and operating effectiveness of automated and IT general controls; Led the delivery of numerous SOC 1 assessments performed and prepared in accordance with assurance standards, including ASAE 3402 and GS007; Performed the evaluation, analysis and management of risks in the course of assessments of control frameworks with regards to access to programs and data, change management and deployment, computer operations and program development; Designed and scoped audit test programs, including the development of comprehensive test procedures, based upon identified controls and their relationship to noted risks and levels of required assurance; Assessed the impact of control failures noted during audit and assurance engagements; Reported on observations identified during IT controls audits and provided advice on the strengthening of IT controls to senior risk and IT management; Executed reviews over the completeness, accuracy and integrity of data migrated from legacy source systems to designated destination systems, including verification of the accuracy of data transformations; Assisted in the running of Business Impact Analysis workshops to provide input into the development of the organisation’s Business Continuity Plan.
