Computers were there when no one else was, now they rule my life. When I was young I dreamed of being many things; An archaeologist, Marine Biologist, Musician, etc. Now Personal Computers have taken hold of my dreams. I have built and maintained 700 Personal computers starting with windows 95. I served in the Air Force on Active Duty where I was in charge of an inventory team of 12 airmen. During which I maintained a 98% fiscal year inventory, as well as a 98% on customer service satisfaction. I was in charge of upwards of $200,000 worth of DoD CBRNE assets. After my service in the military I found my calling in Network Infrastructure. I graduate this semester(Fall 2018) with an Associates of Applied Sciences in Network Infrastructure. I also acquired my TC in Network Infrastructure, and my CT for Routing and Switching. During my stint at IVY Tech, I worked an internship for the campus. I was put in a position to delegate too other interns to complete a computer lab. We built everything from the ground up. I ran cables from the data center, to the empty classroom. We also installed new PCs, connected them to the internet, and imaged them. During this time i was also restructuring the cabling for the data center itself as well as grounding switch and routers to the building. My position as an Airmen taught me many things. The first being integrity is the most crucial asset someone can have. Second is gumption, without the urge or want to do or fix something, you cannot be successful. Lastly, the ability to see beyond what is in front of you. Attention to detail is very important in the networking world. I have been labeled a Do-er. I always look for better ways to do whatever task I am given. Innovation truly comes from the ability to look beyond the normal.
