The Bachelor of International Business (BIB) is a specialist undergraduate business degree delivered in the heart of Melbourne’s central business district. All units are taught using a flipped classroom pedagogy with a strong emphasis on student centred learning through innovative technology and strong links to industry.Within this degree I am responsible for the International Business Unit and the Business in Asia Unit, and the Peking University and Osaka University exchange programmes.Develop lectures and associated interactive, problem based workshops.Integrate into teaching strong links with business practice and businesses.Develop and integrate political, current affairs, economic and cultural issues to ensure students have a real world context within their learning. Scoping project into Australia’s sporting industry, primarily focusing on health and technology. Developed relationships with associations, universities and businesses within the sector, which were utilised by Austrade subsequent my departure.Concluded in my report that one of the biggest impediments within the industry was poor organisation, lack of awareness of opportunity, and an inability to commercialise.Identified key areas to target, specifically assistance with commercialisation and informing stakeholders of Austrade’s function, in order to address the issues within the industry.Developed a strategy to better incorporate the sports industry into various Austrade campaigns, such as ‘Match Australia’.

OECD Project for Vocational Education and Training Reform Unit Develop and draft policy for Australia’s contribution to the project, based on our vocational education sector.Develop recommendations to incorporate and implement in Australia sound evidenced based vocational education policies in use by other OECD countries.Analyse and assess other international institutions and countries’ policies with regards to vocational education, and highlight how these could be included within Australia. Areas of focus included Latin America and Asia. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, both domestic and international.Provide briefings and reports to the Minister.
