Participated in several roles as part of an internationally competitive Formula SAE racing team. Initially responsible for machining high quality, complex parts on manual machines, and understanding the vehicle and aspects of the engineering design competition on a broad level. The North Grafton Wyman Gordon facility manufactures large forgings for use in the aerospace industry as well as land based and industrial gas turbines. As a facilities engineer, I oversaw changes and made improvements to equipment and processes in the manufacturing and maintenance departments.-Developed a plan to redesign a reclaim system on a grit blasting cabinet to decrease wear-Created drawings for existing systems and new designs-Took responsibility for planning projects for annual summer outage as well as supervising their implementation

At the Nichols-Portland division of Parker Hannifin, the main task of the facility is to manufacture gerotors that are used in pumps in industries all over the world. As a materials tester I worked in the lab analyzing daily material samples to ensure quality of the parts being manufactured on a given day. Besides this, I performed cleanliness testing on products ranging from gerotors to full pump assemblies and their components. Each day consisted of analyzing and inputting data regarding cleanliness tests and daily material samples into programs such as excel to keep track of trends and verify that samples met standards. To culminate my time at Nichols, I analyzed a specific metal blend and worked back through calculations to help bring it back to a more accurate standard.
