I am a current Freshman at the University of North Texas, where I am in the process of completing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. I have experience in the field of Computer Science and Engineering, through the Engineering specific courses I took in High school. I also have knowledge on many programming languages, such as Java, Python, and C#. I hope to further hone my skills through my College career, and learn a variety of new and complex programming languages.I first got my experience in Computer Science and programming languages through a Summer camp program provided by the University of Texas at Dallas. This program was extensive in its teachings, deriving much of the lectures and hands-on activities from the world of Engineering, particularly from Computers. The main program taught here was Java, which introduces one to the world of programming in how it is one of the easier languages to learn. I have also worked as a Summer Intern in an office environment, where computer skills were necessary, and programs such as excel, word, and power point were used extensively.I've been in such clubs like the high school robotics club. While in this program, I learned a variety of things from brain storming and problem solving, to team work and concentration. Many of the events were extensive with team work, and this is important in my major since Engineering is team based projects to accomplish a goal. I found my interest in Computer Science and Engineering through High School, and the engineering class that I attended. It showed that one can be hands on in their work, and also use skills such as team working and problem solving. I plan to grow in this field, and learn all of the possibilities it has to offer, from the Computer software and programming, to the hardware aspect. Computer Engineering is an ever-growing field, and there are endless opportunities.
