I work with incoming prospective students, assist with choosing a major that aligns with their career goals, evaluate transcripts for transfer credits, and ensure they have a successful enrollment. I serve as a knowledgeable resource for prospective students, providing comprehensive information about Keiser University's academic programs, admission requirements, and campus life. Through personalized consultations, I help students navigate the complexities of higher education, offering guidance on course selection and academic planning.

As a High School Teacher, I gained valuable experience working closely with students in an academic setting, fostering their academic growth and personal development daily. This role solidified my interest in pursuing a career in student support within higher education. I also realized my passion for enhancing human performance and helping individuals achieve their personal and academic goals.

As a Success Coach, I worked on-site at a local high school, supporting students in achieving academic and personal growth. I monitored their academic progress, provided emotional and social support, and developed transition plans for post-graduation. I established rapport with diverse students and their families to ensure their welfare. Additionally, I oversaw an after-school program offering academic enrichment and mentored student-athletes in mental skills for sports and personal development.

I worked with Florida A&M student-athletes and Leon County high school seniors as a performance consultant. My duties included leading individual and group counseling sessions where topics such as achieving academic & social goals, time management skills, adapting to the college lifestyle, rest & recovery, motivation, and stress management were discussed. For FAMU’s students, the responsibilities were improving their mental skills and performance, monitoring their academics ensuring they were in good academic standing, assisting in identifying their career paths, and helping manage their academic and personal life. Built rapport and developed relationships with a diverse group of students and coaching staff. Collaborated with different parties related to the students about their progress and status. Kept progress notes and have experience working with different counseling applications.

I was responsible for helping UNC students, faculty, and guests with various university-related needs. I worked in an office where I assisted customers with problems they would encounter such as university access, student scheduling, student financials, and student IDs. Helped with Freshman orientation in the summer by helping students get familiar with different aspects of the University and assisted parents with any questions or concerns. Gained experience in customer service, active listening skills, working in a higher education setting, and providing general support.

I worked alongside Dr. DeFreese, the sports psychologist professor at UNC-Chapel Hill. We conducted individual counseling sessions where we discussed the challenges of transitioning out of professional or collegiate sports with former athletes. Topics that were discussed included loss of identity, transition planning, and adapting to a new environment. Gained experience in counseling skills, working with the college athletes population, and creating psychology-based interventions.
