Shift ManagerI am responsible for overseeing the restaurant during a shift. This includes but is not limited to assisting the wait staff and bartenders in any way they may need assistance, receiving phone calls and meetings from prospective clients looking to plan events, meeting with vendor representatives selling their beer, wine, and spirits, and making sure that we as a team are providing the best customer service possible. In addition, I am responsible for all cash transactions that occur during a shift.April 2021- PresentHead ServerI am responsible for giving a high-quality dining experience while interacting with a large quantity of groups of varying sizes at the same time. I prioritize multitasking every shift to make sure that I provide the most efficient and pleasant experience possible for my guests. I am responsible for handling large sums of money daily. In addition to my own responsibilities, I assist others with their tasks to help make the service at the restaurant as flawless as possible. I also train new employees to the way that our restaurant operates.

Teaching AssistantI am responsible for assisting in both a 3rd grade, and 4th grade inclusion classroom as well as a 3rd grade learning center classroom at the Wading River Elementary School. I assist in the preparation work for each day for all of my rooms. I pull a few students to work in small groups to reinforce a lesson or a goal that was taught. I work one on one with specific children that need further help in understanding concepts. Outside of the classroom I have the daily responsibility to provide a supervised space for students before school if they arrive early. This group will vary in size each day from 10 to 40+ students. At the end of the day I am responsible for assisting with dismissal of students to the parents picking up their children. If the school is short staffed, I am the go to person to be pulled from my assignment and placed in the classroom as a substitute teacher. I have taught in special education classrooms, general education classrooms and special area classrooms. November 2020 - 2021Health Aide / Substitute Teaching AssistantI was responsible for assisting the nurse in any capacity throughout the day. I was responsible for collecting COVID-19 attestation forms from the entire student body at Miller Avenue Elementary School, organizing them alphabetically and then documenting any errors or missing forms. I also would substitute as an Aide or a Teaching Assistant as needed in the building. In this capacity, I would assist the teacher in any way they would need including, but not limited to taking a small group of students and helping them while the teacher teaches a different group, setting up materials to be used during the lesson, and redirecting students that are not focused during the lesson.

I was responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the camp. I handled job assignments for all of the counselors and daily review of attendance to ensure that the camp was COVID-19 safe by maintaining limits of children per group. I interacted with parents daily with the arrival and dismissal of the children. To maintain a COVID-safe environment, the parents were not allowed to enter the camp so I had to set up a system for the counselors to bring the children out to their parents. I was responsible for the assembly and transportation of any equipment that the camp needed.June 2007 - August 2017Senior Recreation SpecialistI was responsible for assigning counselor positions, scheduling the day-to-day activities for the entire camp, overseeing that all activities were being completed in a safe and orderly manner, and making sure that the entire camp was clean at the end of each day. I was also responsible for assisting in the camp setup before the start of the program and breaking down the camp at the end of the summer.

Restaurant ManagerI was responsible for the day-to-day operation of the restaurant. I would oversee my staff and see that all COVID compliant standards were being upheld. I was responsible for receiving and answering inquiries for private events as well as organizing contracted parties. I had to work with the other departments of East Wind to make packages that would incorporate other avenues of business, such as the spa and salon, the sales department, and the hotel at East Wind. I was also responsible for making weekly drink specials and planning events within the restaurant such as beer dinners, wine dinners, and live music. I was also responsible for reviewing my staff’s sales and paperwork at the end of each shift. April 2012 - April 2019Senior Server/ Bartender I was responsible for providing exceptional customer service while handing transactions of all sizes daily. I interacted with large groups of people on a daily basis. I filled in wherever needed, in any position, whether it be in the main restaurant or the catering department. In addition, I was responsible for training new employees.

Catering ManagerI was responsible for overseeing East Wind’s catering department. This involved scheduling the number of staff necessary for each event, communicating the needs of each event as described by the contract to the necessary departments, and overseeing the set-up of events to ensure every event would exceed expectations. I was responsible for ensuring the kitchen was up to date on any changes made to any menu by the customers. I was also responsible for ensuring all COVID compliant standards were being upheld at every event and staying up to date on any changes to protocols. As needed, I would fill in as a Maître d’ and be responsible for running individual events to the guest's specifications. In this capacity my sole focus was ensuring guests satisfaction and providing exceptional customer service. April 2012 – February 2019 Senior BartenderI was responsible for providing exceptional customer service during events. As a senior bartender I was responsible for making sure the bars for the event were stocked and ready to go before each event. I was responsible for making sure any specified ingredients for special drinks were at each bar as well. I was trusted with a key to the liquor storage room to be able to stock the bars.
