InternCity-Yuwa Partners Sep 2014 - Jan 2015Tokyo, JapanThis internship was run concurrently with my advanced business law course at Hitotsubashi University. The time spent at City-Yuwa was extremely rewarding and I learned a great deal. I was able to work with a number of partners and associates across the firm over a wide array of matters. I was exposed to numerous strains of law which was interesting on a day-to-day basis.I was able to obtain experience in drafting letters of demand for clients, preparing intra-office memos and memos for clients, and drafting cross-border contracts. In addition I was able to experience fact-finding on high profile matters for the firm. I also assisted the firm with proofreading and editing of the English work that the firm dealt with.

Youth DelegateGlobal Voices Mar 2014 - May 2014Canberra - Paris.I was accepted by Global Voices to attend the annual Organisation for Economic Development and Co-operation (OECD) forum in Paris. In preparation for the forum I also attended pre-delegation briefings in Canberra where I was given the amazing opportunity to spend two days in Parliament House meeting various high level politicians such as: PM Tony Abbott, Opposition Leader Bill Shorten, Foreign Minister Julie Bishop, Shadow Treasurer Chris Bowen, and many more influential people. As part of my delegation to the OECD I had to construct a research paper. I chose a topic I was familiar with and went from there. I am quite proud of the document I have produced and you can find an adapted version below. The OECD forum itself was an amazing experience and not only did I have the chance of partaking in the forum but a number of high level meetings were also organised by Global Voices. I had the pleasure of meeting the following people: Anthony Rottier, Executive Director of the OECD, Steve Sargent, President & Chief Executive Officer, GE Australia & New Zealand, Chris Barrett, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Australia to the OECD, George Mina, Deputy Head of Mission to France. As well as many other highly influential individuals. -
Office AssistantCairns Chamber Of Commerce Oct 2012 - Dec 2012I was in a temp position at the chamber. I assisted in reception duties which included everything from answering phone and email questions to preparing business functions.I was also involved in a research project for the CEO at the time. The project was how to innovate membership, how to make members feel as though they are more involved in the chamber and that their contribution fees are worth it.
