As a Core Component Manager at Intermap Technologies I led the development of AccuTerra data products, assisted in product definition and development schedules, and worked directly with customers to determine product requirements. At Intermap our goal was to create the best outdoor recreation maps available for the entire US. To do this, data from various sources was verified and realigned and analyzed against aerial imagery. I worked directly with OEM partners developing cartographic styles for demos and products. On top of many other challenges I continued to expand my skills in product management, data management, Transact SQL queries, and developing new processes for data modification, workflow and normalization.

As GIS Supervisor at Kroll Factual Data I managed department resources to update and maintain a spatial database containing flood zone data for the entire United States. In doing this I developed processes, plus trained and managed employees to digitize FEMA flood insurance rate maps. To minimize costs I established outsourcing resources for large projects and developed applications to automate conversion and QC processes. At this position I developed skills in working with various forms of data, projections, SQL queries, aerial imagery, WMS, DBMS, and geocoding.

At National Flood Research I developed my skills as a GIS Technician digitizing flood and hazard maps. I also worked largely on developing a database for a hazard determination product. For this project I located and acquired data from community, state and federal government agencies. This data included maps for seismic activity, fault zones, liquefaction zones, inundation, areas of airport influence, hazardous waste sites, landfills, and various geologic hazards. Once obtained, the hazard data was converted from a wide variety of formats into easy to interpret layers used for manual property research.
