I am currently towards the end of my A-Level courses of Maths, Physics and Computer Science. I am looking for a higher or degree apprenticeship in something programming or IT based, like digital solutions or cyber security. My main experience of programming comes from my study of computer science. Through the first year of my A-level studies, I programmed many small game prototypes. In my second year I had to create and write up a programmed project which was also a game. Because of this, I have developed skills in HTML CSS and JavaScript, as well as python from programming in the lower years of school. Within my final project, I was able to implement a node.js server to connect players into the same game. This allowed for a multiplayer experience. The fact that most of my programming has been games should show that I have an interest in video games. During the summer of 2022, me and 3 friends programmed a small game over the span of a week to partake in an Itch.io game jam. We each had our own part of the game to work on, which was split roughly evenly between the 4 of us. I worked on the design of one stage and the user interface of the game. This included the main menu, stage select and pause screen. Since we had to work as a team I developed skills in communication and coordination.
