Upon a referral from a former colleague, I joined I-Mab in a custom-created role providing international business, corporate governance, and financial payments expertise in pursuit of a US IPO. I worked very closely with the CFO and strategically reported directly to the company president.• Quickly kicked off the IPO process, resulting in a NASDAQ listing within 9 months. Developed and executed company’s global IP restructuring plan for the assets valued more than US$800M.• Lent analytical support and developed global structure blueprint for the CEO/CFO in conjunction with IPO/dual listing/spin-offs/M&A initiatives.• Managed US$300M book running for the US NASDAQ IPO corner stone investors in 2020 and the associated investor relations.• Advised senior executives in various strategic decisions including in/out-licensing transactions in excess of US$200M and business/partnership negotiations such as joint ventures (JVs) and major R&D collaboration deals.

The company CFO sought me out to resolve challenges regarding internal controls and corporate governance. I led a 15-person team while handling the company’s annual 10-K/10-Q filing in tax accounting and the related SOX internal control risk management. I reported directly to the Global CFO and the Audit Committee for tax operation risk and efficiency.• Spearheaded the global restructuring plan related the US Privatization transaction in 2017 for GL Capital lead investor consortium group (deal size US$608M) over 1.5 years and saved US$60M+ in investment cost.• Acted as the global CFO post-acquisition and reported directly to the Board of Directors and CEO for cash management

In 2012, I accepted and ultimately extended an initial 3-year assignment in China, immersing myself in a new culture and way of conducting business. • Managed US Capital Market clients’ 20-F filing audits/reviews and sign-offs on US Tax Accounting (ASC 740) topic, including advising and supporting Chinese enterprises’ overseas investment and M&A strategies. • Led as an acting partner for the Global China Practice (GCP) between the US and China market, managing market development and lending expertise as a trusted advisor.• Oversaw the annual tax account target of RMB10M KPI and co-led the China HNTE R&D Practice for KPMG Central China Market.
