As a Cub Captain for the Leo program, my responsibility shifted to being a leader for a group of Leos. I worked closely with the other members of the leadership team and professional staff to plan the week Leo training week out so that it was both an enjoyable and educational experience for the 60+ Leos that are a part of the program. With the orientation experience I have, I offered guidance to my Leos when in regards to questions they had when dealing with the multitude of scenarios first years may experience.

The Leo program (Lafayette Extended Orientation) is designed to be a year-long transitional experience for first years at Lafayette. For a group of 18 first years, it was my job to ensure they had all the resources they needed to adjust to college life, as well as ensuring they enjoy their orientation and make connections with new classmates. After the orientation weekend concluded, my role switched to serving as a student advisor, in which I periodically met with each student to ensure they continue to acclimate well to college life.

As a Fitness Assistant it was my main responsibility to ensure that all fitness center patrons were using all equipment in a manner that would not damage the equipment or injure themselves or others. This included being properly CPR and first aid certified just in case an emergency were to arise. Other responsibilities include distributing equipment to patrons, ensuring all equipment is returned to its proper location, refilling towel and wipe dispensers, and being knowledgeable about the operation of all of the equipment to answer any questions a patron may have.

I had to become very familiar with the processes of plastic injection molding and plastic extrusion. While there, I worked with their window systems new product development team. I assisted in the designing of numerous plastic parts for their new shade, and I had the opportunity to design a part myself (with ample design reviews as well). Additionally, I worked on discovering faults in a current piece of machinery and then proposed design modifications.

As a summer camp counselor, it was my responsibility to do two main things: ensure that the children that attended the camp were engaged in activities and having fun socializing with one another, and to ensure the safety of each child. When I witnessed a situation arise, it was my responsibility to respond accordingly. During my fourth year (2022) as a camp counselor, my supervisors placed me in charge of the operation of the camp on days they could not be there.
