I am a trade qualified Electrician, recently completing my Electrical Fitter Mechanic Apprenticeship at Gladstone Ports Corporation and am seeking a full-time role as an Electrician. I have experience in many fields of the trade including installation, commissioning, calibration, testing and maintenance of a wide range of electrical and some instrumentation equipment which are used to control and safeguard a large range of material handling systems such as the above and below ground conveyors, ship loaders, dump stations and more. I have a proven ability to thrive in team environments through effective communication, collaboration, and respect for diverse perspectives and skills. I complete long rotational shifts with resilience, adaptability and maintain commitment to high-quality work standards. I am proficient in all aspects of electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment, including installation, termination, programming, calibration, functional testing, diagnostics, commissioning, start-up, preventive, reactive, and shutdown maintenance. I also have experience with a wide range of equipment, including pressure, level, temperature, speed, weight and gas detector transmitters and sensors. Relays, SCADA systems, uninterruptable power supply's, VSDs, MCCs, single and three phase motors, switch gear and network devices. I am proficient in earthing, general power and lighting, HV and LV cabling (multicore, instrumentation, power, control, and intrinsically safe), as well as cable support systems such as trays, ladders, and conduit.I effectively fault find electrical circuits and components through a systematic application of test procedures and equipment. I am skilled in interpreting and analyzing schematics and termination diagrams to identify potential issues and troubleshoot effectively. With strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols when working with live circuits I ensure optimal performance and reliability of electrical systems.
