From day one in engineering, my focuses were on creating & learning everything I could about the fascinating technological advances in the overlapping fields of medicine & engineering, and I have spent much time outside of my academic career fueling my ambition to add my expertise to a professional environment where I could further my understanding. As a kid, I loved to take apart and (sometimes) reassemble tools around the house, much to my parents' chagrin, but that passion & desire to understand the world around me– how things functioned and why they did what they did– led me towards the engineering path. My parents' background as lifelong medical professionals allowed me a deeper insight into the way that engineering could also directly impact the lives of patients and people around me, cementing my focus on medical technology.Through both coursework and my own self-fueled desire to learn, I am proud of my skills and hope to bring all the expertise that I have accumulated through my experiences both in and out of academia into the field of professional engineering.
