I started my career in journalism as a rookie reporter unearthing scoops on my Shropshire patch, before honing my skills as a sub and page designer, then becoming features editor at the UK's largest regional daily paper.After 25 years, I changed tack (more about water later!) and dived into the world of PR and corporate communications. Most notably, I led a busy media team at West Mercia Police and am currently responsible for London and the South East as a Senior Media Officer for the Independent Office for Police Conduct.When I'm not fielding media calls, writing strategies and managing the team, you'll probably find me taking photos either at the top of a mountain or bottom of the sea (they should make a song about that!), keeping fit, or scanning the day's headlines - once a news hound, always a news hound.
