About Dylan Eyers

I am passionate about wilderness, wild animals, adventures, community and food. As a Park Manager, I get the opportunity to play a critical role in the protection of special places for people to connect with nature. I take great pride in being part of a larger community of conservation professionals who are dedicated to the protection of British Columbia's wilderness and the animals that live there. As a hunter, I get explore British Columbia's wilderness on epic adventures. When on the hunt, I get to observe, understand, and share experiences with wild animals in their habitat. With this experience and knowledge, I am a passionate advocate for habitat conservation. For me, hunting has always been about two things: creating a community around food and connecting with nature. It’s a philosophy that I picked up from a long line of hunters, and it’s one that I am proud to pass on to new generation of hunters.

  • Eatwild
    Eatwild Owner And Operator
    Eatwild Aug 2011 - Present
    Vancouver, Canada Area
EatWild is a Vancouver based company that helps urban folks build skills, knowledge and confidence to harvest wild foods. I launched EatWild in 2011, and I am enjoying the challenge and reward of running a small business. I developed the EatWild concept, the programming, the marketing plan, and the communications strategy. I work with a team of EatWild enthusiasts that help me deliver workshops and programs. About EatWild: EatWild wants to change the way you think about your food. Our mission is to develop a community of food-conscious people, who value high quality, organic and ethically sourced game meat and fish. Our goal is to get you excited about learning where your food comes from, and how it was treated along the way. We want to share great adventures and delicious meals, and inspire a new generation of urban folks to get back to the wilderness.EatWild wants to be part of something new. We don’t hunt because we like antlers on our walls, or a Quad in the garage. We hunt, fish and gather wild plants because we think it’s about time we changed the way we see food. We know firsthand the barriers which can prevent city-dwellers from getting in touch with wild food. Hunting certification and licensing can be cumbersome. Harvesting, butchering and preparing wild meat and fish takes knowledge and skills which most of us no longer learn from our parents.Let EatWild be your mentor. We host courses, workshops, and events so that wild food can be an attainable ethical food source for you.
