Tubular Mechanics Investigation •Reviewed recent casing and tubing deformations across various basins. •Studied and evaluated industry standards and specifications: API 5CT and NACE TM0177 & MR0175.•Evaluated metallurgical components of various steel grades and visited labs during examinations.•Conducted a deep dive investigation into the effects of hydrogen embrittlement and how it operates. •Performed various tests and compiled new procedures to enact a custom product quality plan and understand the limitations of the steel grades in sour surface environments. •Provided methods which will better protect tubulars: more stringent metallurgy/chemical composition, uniform heat treatment, better inhibition, new semi-premium connection and evaluation of load cases to provide security and well integrity moving forward. Field Time•Toured and ERW and SMLS manufacturing facility and visited drilling rigs.

•Evaluated wells, created and justified potential candidates for a well redesign. From there executed 3 throughout the summer. Tracked and optimized the production uplift post workover. •Learned about Echometer. I created Total Asset Monitor (TAM) profiles, went out to wells to watch and help attach equipment to wellheads, then learned how to interpret the data. •I also worked on a methanol injection optimization project to help mitigate excess usage of methanol.
