About Dylan Hensley
I am a passionate leader and metrologist with an extensive background in calibration, quality management, program management, and statistics. Throughout my career, I have performed and audited calibration and maintenance processes across numerous measurement disciplines in the Electrical and Physical Dimensional scope. In addition to this, I have routinely performed measurement intercomparisons on unknown artifacts for proficiency testing.I have spent most of the last 5 years in a management and training role where I oversaw the training of many technicians on a variety of TMDE and metrology topics. These items include apprentice level equipment, such as torque wrenches, handheld DMMs, and micrometers, to complex primary/working standard calibration such as meter calibrators, resistance bridges, voltage cells, primary pressure standards, torque standards, surface plates, PRTs, thermocouple calibrators, ice-point references, and much more. The techniques and concepts that I have trained included uncertainty analysis, PFA/PFR, guardbanding, EOPR, and other statistical concepts used in metrology.Currently, I lead the Metrology department for Lockheed Martin in Greenville, SC which consists of 12 calibration technicians and NDT inspectors. My team and I are responsible for the maintenance, calibration, and repair of over 9,500 active calibrated assets for the facility that ranges from basic hand tools, to specialized aircraft testing equipment. Aside from calibration, my NDT team is responsible for a wide variety of inspections, accomplished through different techniques such as eddy current, x-ray, ultrasonics, and penetrant.I am an incredibly hard-working individual that enjoys having fun with his team, while also being highly effective.
