Marner was a Sun Microelectronics OEM that pioneered and manufactured rackmount systems using Sun SPARC motherboards and Solaris operating system.Originally contracted as a marketing consultant to develop website and sales brochures as well as system administration of Windows and Solaris servers. Advanced to manage product marketing and implemented name changes and added new products to accommodate the growing demand for rackmount servers. Promoted to manage direct sales to key accounts and OEM /channel accounts. Launched a new product called myT 1 (mighty one), an ultra-slim, 1U UltraSPARC system for thin servers, server appliances, and configured servers for the rapidly growing service provider market and any environment that requires small, rack-mounted computers. Managed OEM channel including Lockheed Martin and StorageTek. Developed a reseller channel and recruited resellers in the U.S., Canada, and Japan. Created Japanese product brochures and website.

Datacore Engineering developed highly customized software application using PowerBuilder and Oracle database. Supervised, motivated, and evaluated performance for 5 programmers. Spearheaded the design, development, and delivery of software applications. Responsible for consulting and recommending programming services to meet client needs. Restructured operational procedures and assignments that significantly improved cost control. Marketed to new and existing accounts to maximize the presence of Datacore programming services.

wARE, INC. was a Sun Microsystems VAR that sold systems, storage, and software. wARE also provided programming services and software training. Recruited by the owner to drive a startup to profitable revenue streams. Managed day-to-day business operations including sales, marketing/advertisement, purchasing and customer support. Sold and marketed Sun systems, related third-party hardware and software, and consulting services in the five-state area. Orchestrated opening offices in Chicago and Des Moines. Built partnerships with other Sun VARs and business alliances with third-party vendors to provide integrated solutions for our customers.

One of Founders / Manager of System Development / Far East RepresentativeRamsay Int’l was a startup imaging company that specialized in developing a high-speed imaging system for the Japan Housing Organization in Tokyo, Japan.Hired out of college as a Japanese translator and quickly promoted to manage system development. Made frequent trips to Japan for meetings and applying upgrades. Negotiated contracts with clients, OEM vendors, and sub-contractors. Built OEM relationship with Sun Microsystems and completed the system production ahead of schedule. Responsible for managing the software programmers using SunOS and C programming language.
