Working as a Seasonal operator for BRT Construction while completing my Academic Upgrading at SAIT. Most projects consisted of working and operating equipment around high-power lines and exposing underground live-line utilities such as doing utility exposures for Altalink transmission yards, Calgary C-train maintenance, and Telus; Fibre optics to the home project in Calgary and surrounding areas. Categories included for these projects include Asphalt repair, Cable Splicing, Daylighting, Horizontal Directional Drilling, Trenching and Excavation. While working on the Okotoks Fibre optics to the home project I was able to demonstrate my Team Leading and Training abilities when given the responsibility of training and leading a team of four summer students for the duration of the project.

Worked on a wide range of Drilling rigs ranging from Super Single Slant, Telescopic Double and Electric Super Triples. Most of my time was spent on Super Single drilling rigs doing slant wells, such as the Nexen Long Lake SAGD project, redrills in existing production sites where each well provided new challenges, coring, exploration, and multilateral drilling projects. As a Motorhand my responsibilities included regularly maintaining drilling rig engines, transmissions, heating systems, diesel-electric generators and motors, hydraulic systems, and other mechanical equipment. Daily responsibilities included maintaining equipment logs, preventative maintenance records, and inventory. Heavy Equipment operation, Supervising, Training, working with floor hands and labourers, and ensuring they work safely and efficiently also played a role in my position. Achieving a recordable free Safe work environment, I worked on a total of 15 different rigs with different crews, gained experience working with heavy equipment and given the opportunity to work and increase my leadership roles with new and experienced employees.

Building Post Frame structures for commercial, oil and gas, farm and equestrian all over Saskatchewan, Manitoba and southern Alberta. Started as a labourer and then moved on to operating a Telescopic forklift, Single Axle transport truck and trailer.
