Storytelling is everything to me. A film, a song, a piece of journalism. These are all vessels for conveying a story and connecting with others, channeling the emotions we feel into experiences that are both universal and personal. Throughout my work experience, I have proven myself as a diligent worker in a variety of connected fields relating to arts and entertainment.As a film major at Temple University, I learned the value of collaboration. Beginning my college career during the pandemic year of 2020 was far from easy but I dealt with this difficulty through creating work with friends at home in Providence, Rhode Island while taking online classes. I channeled my various passions and ideas into a short entitled Self Film - a very personal work in which I discuss my perseverance to continue creating art and study filmmaking in a dispiriting, difficult world plagued by grief and loss. The film was awarded Best Editing by Temple’s Diamond Screen Film Festival in April 2021. Later that year, the film screened at Temple’s MOSAIC event at the historic Met theater on Broad Street. It was a prestigious honor reflecting my hard work. As an intern at WXPN, I have honed my writing skills and furthered my passion for music by exploring the local Philly scene further and covering various nationals music news stories. This experience has allowed me to work with one of the top radio stations and further push my work ethic.I also have worked at the Fillmore and the Mann Center during college, deliver top-notch service at some of the city's largest concert venues. Music remains one of my biggest passions, as I also have performed with multiple local musicians and play drums in the Temple University Swinging Owls Community Jazz Band, connecting with Philly musicians of all ages. I hope to continue bringing together my various passions - writing, music, filmmaking - and developing my skills as I bring my tireless work ethic and creativity to each experience I embark on.
