Full-stack development role involving work on all software layers of a light-goods warehouse conveyor automation system. This was a fully remote position.Front-end web UI work used React with Typescript and Sass, and occasionally angular.js.Back-end work used .NET WebAPI with C# and SQL Server databases.Work was organized into sprints using Jira. Attended daily standup meetings, story discussions, and sprint retrospectivesOccasionally provided remote customer support and troubleshooting for issues arising at warehouses using the system.

Global Helpdesk Engineer
Swisslog sells warehouse automation systems to companies around the world.When these systems malfunction, the GHD receives a call from individuals representing the specific site.I or one of the other engineers take these calls and ask customers mostly scripted questions to obtain information about their issue. The information is recorded into a ticket.I may be assigned one of these tickets to troubleshoot (remotely). I am almost always assigned software-related issues.Effective troubleshooting requires knowledge of our proprietary warehouse management system (WMS), as well as knowledge of the specific site installation. I must interact with the customers via phone or email to provide updates and get more information as necessary. I must sometimes create SQL database queries to update customer databases when fixes cannot be applied through the WMS. If I am unable to resolve the issue after some time, I escalate to and work with more knowledgeable resources.When I'm not actively working on a ticket, I try to obtain more knowledge about the customer sites and systems by reading old tickets, knowledge articles, or documentation.
