Leading Australia's engagement with the Convention on Wetlands, and alignment of domestic and international priorities. Managing a small team that coordinates engagement on wetlands with the National Environmental Science Program, the Regional Landcare Program, and the NSW, ACT and NT governments. Supporting Australia's youth focal point, and engagement with the Convention's youth working group.

I was Australia's first National Youth Focal Point under the Ramsar Convention. In this role I led a resolution through the Ramsar COP, built a network of young people working on wetlands around Australia, and hosted a number of side events at international meetings.

Managed the Healthy Coorong Healthy basin Program - $77m to restore the health of the Coorong Lower Lakes and Murray Mouth Ramsar site, with research, indigenous partnerships, restoration and infrastructure development components.

Negotiating to align water law and management plans between state and national governments, with a focus on environmental outcomes.

Coordinated the passage of a Bill on resource extraction through parliament. Ran public/industry consultation and progressed regulatory reforms on various levels. Renegotiated an agreement between the state and a multinational resources conglomerate.

Led reform of nature conservation regulations, with a focus on compliance and permitting reform, and updates to threatened species lists.Developed assessment processes under a koala conservation plan, supported engagements with large resources companies, and provided regulatory advice.

Led implementation of a statewide biosecurity compliance system. Coordinated legislative amendments. Organised a range of events and engagement activities including a partnership forum and consultation processes.

Supported a range of international projects, negotiations and research relating to Nature Conservation. Provided administrative support to international negotiations (ongoing and at the UN Environmental Assembly). Organised a large, successful, grant proposal (IKI, €20m with an additional €60m leveraged), across multiple UN agencies and national governments.Managed a database on illegal wildlife trade - collated records from sanctuaries globally with technical staff at UNEP-WCMC.

Created a decision support tool for threatened plant conservation and liased with government, consultants and community groups to calibrate and refine the tool.Worked and undertook professional development in a world-leading research centre (ARC- CEED), engaging with researchers working on a number of global projects.

Organised the Queensland side of a national project realigning federal and state lists of threatened species.Managed a small nature refuge housing the translocation of the critically endangered northern hairy-nosed wombat. Provided input to improve management policy.

Data analysis, design and writing of innovative road safety and biodiversity trials, accepted by local government and state agencies.Long-term survey work and collaboration with officials from Brisbane Airport Corporation, BioSecurity Queensland, Brisbane City Council, and Corrective Services.
