This included orchestrating the creation of new storage, facilitating user access, and managing data restores using Rubrik, underscoring my comprehensive management capabilities.In embracing automation, I utilized tools like PowerShell in VMware and Terraform in Azure to augment day-to-day operations, particularly in VDI management, exhibiting technological agility. My operational support was further evidenced by managing tasks via the Jira ticketing system, which ranged from addressing bug fixes and new feature requests to implementing new custom software installations, illustrating my adaptability and problem-solving skills.

In my capacity as a member of the Preferred Infrastructure Build Team at Softlayer, I was entrusted with significant responsibilities that were instrumental in the large-scale deployment of NetApp storage systems. These systems were a crucial component in powering Softlayer's global Cloud infrastructure.My tasks involved overseeing the meticulous establishment of infrastructure, typically incorporating multi-node NetApp FAS and E-Series clusters. A substantial part of my role included compiling comprehensive Visio design guidelines, ensuring that each data center build was orchestrated with precision and clarity.Key Deliverables:Collaborated extensively with storage architects, playing a vital role in the development of stringent standards and robust processes, ensuring operational excellence and consistency.Took the initiative in planning, preparing, and meticulously executing upgrades to ONTAP 8.3, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining the currency and reliability of our systems.Skillfully resolved an array of unexpected or unplanned networking issues encompassing TCP/IP, NFS, and CIFS, showcasing problem-solving acumen and technical prowess.Executed a spectrum of storage provisioning tasks, spanning FC, ISCSI, NFS, and CIFS, underlining a versatile skill set and a capability to manage diverse technical operations with proficiency.

I took ownership of building a new Clustered data ontap infrastructure at Chevron’s key data center. As part of this deliverable my contributions included discovery, planning, and implementation of clustered data ontap. The highlights of this project were several, some of which are listed under the key deliverables below. Key Deliverables:¬ Conduct a data discovery and application stack analysis of the existing Chevron environment.¬ Provide Chevron a detailed recommended migration approach from 7-Mode to C-Mode.¬ Perform design, installation as well as advanced configuration of NetApp C-Mode systems.¬ Conduct and execute SnapMirror driven data migration sessions.¬ Plan application centric cutovers and validate data integrity post migration.
