Dylan Kilby is a public health professional whose career exists at the intersection of epidemiology, environmental science, and crisis informatics. Inspired while participating in rebuilding efforts following the 2015 Sockeye Fire in Alaska, Dylan pursued a graduate degree in global health epidemiology with a focus on risk science while working on research projects in acute and chronic exposure to noise/air pollution, disease modeling, and novel technologies in crisis response. In doing so, he draws on a unique background that also includes broadcasting and on-the-ground interventions.In addition to his public health career, Dylan is an accomplished outdoorsman who focuses on inclusivity and sustainability in the backcountry. He also publishes GIS data, routes, and travel information for those interested in pursuing their own outdoor goals through venues like Peakbagger.com and his project "Sunbleached Summits".Dylan's mountaineering accomplishments include back-to-back "Pemi" and "Presi" traverses in the New Hampshire White Mountains and 190 prominent and alpinistic summits in the Sierra Nevada following the 2023 winter. He also managed and trained sled dogs in southern Alaska, facilitated canoeing excursions in Minnesota and Michigan, and given presentations to university groups on self-rescue and risk management in climbing.
