Started as a systems administrator on the help desk and worked my way up the ladder to being a Jr. Network engineer and Assisting the Director of Operations with facilities management.-Created documentation for a network with over 150 Access Switches, 20 Distribution switches, and 6 Core routers. Used this documentation to make a network diagram to streamline troubleshooting and triage process when major outages occurred.-Direct escalation point for all network related issues on a network consisting of over 680,00 IP addresses.-Troubleshooting Layer 1, 2, and 3 network issues in a timely manner to minimize impact to customers.- Created processes and procedures for daily tasks as well as documentation for complex network troubleshooting and streamlining network related tasks.-Created a script that completed complex customer configurations on a deployment of over 500 Windows 2012 servers.-Used tools such as Observium, Wanguard, Nagios to monitor the overall health of our network and detect and proactively rectify network issues, large scale DDOS's, and internal server health issues.-Troubleshoot customer systems with a wide array of Operating systems such as CentOS, Fedora, Debian, FreeBSD, Windows Server 2003/2008/2012-Configured SuperMicro Intel network gear to meet customer requirements -Setup a VPN for a hyper converged private cloud -Completed a complete migration of over 55 cabinets between two datacenters, requiring over 5000 feet of cable, de-rack and re-stack over 2500 Physical chassis, installation of all core, distribution, and edge switches.-Implemented a new inventory cataloging system to increase efficiency of inventory management and tracking. With this new system in place it was able to streamline remote hands requests to our facilities.

In this position I fill a wide variety of roles, we have a variety of clients who all have very specific needs to keep the technology at there business running. This has created an environment for me to grow my knowledge in many aspects of computer networking and to learn how to optimize and manage my time. - I work on a variety of networks with varying setups and infrastructure. I troubleshoot issues from physical connections to routing issues on the LAN/WAN.Managing firewall policies to keep networks secure. I work with multiple ISP's to deliver the most stable and reliable connection to customer sites.-Installing, maintaining, and upgrading a wide variety of servers that serve many different needs. I'm exposed to primarily windows environments virtualized on a VMware infrastructure.We also have started to move clients to cloud based solutions for increased uptime and performance.-Creating comprehensive backup solutions to protect users data on site and in the cloud. Installing backup vaults to virtualize servers instantly upon failure.-Implementing remote monitoring and management of systems to increase productivity and streamline management of networks.
