The Corporate Development team holds the reins to much of Alphabet's worldwide growth. As a member of the Corporate Development Integration team, I work collaboratively across functions (including Engineering, Legal, Finance and People Operations) to identify and evaluate acquisition, divestitures, partnerships, and investment opportunities. I provide the management team with the needed insight to drive intelligent, sound decision-making, as well as manage the end-to-end M&A integration process.- Partnering with Product Area leads to evaluate their strategy and product roadmaps and advise how M&A can help them meet their goals. - Driving and managing a prioritized due diligence process that validates our rationale, while identifying key issues and risks.- Work with Engineering, Product and Corporate Development teams in early deal stages to develop comprehensive integration plan for mergers and acquisitions.- Lead cross-functional teams to execute integration plans while working with the broader Corporate Development team in continuing efforts to develop process.- Partner with executive sponsors to develop a post close integration plan that will address issues uncovered in diligence and position the team to be ready to achieve success.- Organized follow-up support after the deal to understand health of the deal, potential issues, and capture learnings for future deals.

As team lead for Google's M&A Engineering Integration Team, I spent over 6 years leading a team of Engineers and Program Managers to integrate, divest, and implement systems for dozens of acquisitions. Specifically my impact has been to:* Lead my team members by creating and overseeing corporate technology integration plans and ensuring the business objectives of the acquisitions are met. * Direct 20+ teams within and outside of Google to work together to meet the goals of each of Google’s acquisitions. * Manage regular reporting and escalations to senior management in Engineering teams and Google Corporate Development office. * Identify and develop areas for automation, process improvement, and address gaps to increase our team’s integration speed and effectiveness.* Integrating acquired users, networks, systems, and engineering workflow.* Determining the integration goals of the Product Team, and building a tech integration plan to fulfill that strategy. * Lead a dozen or more engineering/ IT teams from the due-diligence phase through the completion of integration, e.g.: Network, Security, Compliance, IT, Facilities, Platforms, Logistics, Software, etc.* Building a strong relationship with the acquisition’s leadership and Google product team lead to ensure integration goals are met. * Fully understanding an acquisition's workflows and systems in order to create and implement a relevant and successful integration plan.* Driving integration projects through to completion while minimizing disruption for the newly acquired company's users and workflow as they are integrated into Google. Project Manager (with additional Product Management responsibility) for “MyBill”, an internal web application that allows Googlers and their managers to view their mobile spend and see graphical spend comparisons.* Developed strategy-level policies and built behavior metrics into the application to provide transparency for the user. * Drafted technical architecture to mine data from multiple TelCo sources, normalize it into a single database, then display it properly in the application's UI.* Designed back-end reports and processes with TelCos to automate creation, termination and audit of mobile accounts I was also responsible for the Global launch of Android devices internally at Google and mobile program redesign.
