I am a hardworking, reliable and willing person with a passion for coaching and teaching others. I have lots of enthusiasm and a desire to learn. I am keen to have a career in sports, in particular football. Due to my work ethic and enthusiasm for sport I feel that I am well suited to coaching and teaching children.In my former and current role at Exeter City Community Trust I have coached children aged three to sixteen the skills and basics of the game during coaching sessions and I really enjoy working with others. I am organised with my work and I make sure I do what is relevant to the task I have been given and flexible where it is necessary. I have also worked as an apprentice at Exeter City FC to widen my knowledge of Coaching and to develop my education even further. I have also run or been a part of several promotional events, such as Gay Pride and Devon County Show. In addition, I have been involved with the Coaching of Disability Sessions. Ability Counts is where I am now coaching and managing the League One Ability Counts squad, whom in 2019 I guided to an FA Disability Cup Semi Final.I understand the four basics of coaching, these are leadership which is required to deliver a session, communication which is required between me and my colleagues as well as to the children, diversity meaning that everyone is included and decision-making meaning that I can adapt sessions to the playing surface and players' abilities as well as deciding whether the facilities are safe to use. I hold a coaching license in which I also have insurance on. In my former role at Torquay United as Schools and Community Coach I was responsible to coach a range of groups, from 3 year olds to adults. I ran lunch time clubs every day at Barton Hill Academy to year groups 3 to 6 and they had 15 minutes each, each day for lunch time football and this consisted of lots of conditioned matches. I was also responsible for running the youth disability sessions and arranging to get them to tournaments. I was also involved in the coaching on after schools and community sessions, delivering lots of fun and engaging coaching sessions to participants.I was appointed as First Team Coach of Torquay United Women and Assistant of their newly formed Under 18’s to gain experience in coaching Women’s football and to be able to deliver in high quality sessions these ranged from warm-ups to fitness drills as well as a few tactics based ball work and encouraging players to press high and put pressure on the ball during matches and keep possession and the ball on the floor.
