The American Aerospace Technical Academy (AATA) is a Los Angeles-based 501c3 nonprofit. AATA's mission is to bring high quality basic and advanced NDT training to the industry at a price that is affordable; so everyone especially veterans, women and disenfranchised individuals can take advantage of the great opportunities offered in Non-Destructive Testing. AATA students receive Level 1 and Level 2 training in Radiography, Magnetic Particle, Penetrant, Ultrasonic Testing, UT Phased Array and Visual Testing, in addition to training in Computed Radiography and Radiation Safety. AATA now offers Online Training for those who cannot travel.

Lead development, negotiation and execution of NDT, Integrity Management, and Construction Management deals. Identify markets, research new and emerging opportunities. Identify risks, coordinate internal and external projects. Develop options, negotiate agreements and implement provisions. Develop oil and gas infrastructure options for new developments, prepare economics, negotiate relevant agreements. Review short and long term jobs and market factors to assist in forecasts and work with business partners to ensure adequate capacity availability and viable, economically attractive leads. On-site demonstrations and presentations of company services. Maintain and renegotiate existing client relationships. Extensive and long term travel.

Oversee 40+ employees. Manage scheduling, timing, and dispatch of all technicians. Interpersonal management including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, team building, and assisting in recruiting and hiring. Create and enforce company policies. Discover, maintain, and grow existing and new client relationships. Assist in bidding and estimating, budgeting, and overhead tracking. Maintain NDT certifications and current industry knowledge.

Perform non-destructive testing in multiple environments including refinery, pipeline construction and pipeline anomaly, coal power plants, hydro power plants, and construction. Large scale refinery outages. Advanced flaw detection and flaw sizing. Specialty inspection on large equipment. Welder qualifications. Supervision of 15+ employees at multiple locations/job sites including daily supervision, scheduling, troubleshooting. Direct contact with clients, existing and potential. Creating required government/client reporting. Perform weld mapping and tracking using isometric drawings and spreadsheets. Corrosion mapping using straight beam ultrasound.
