As a member of the telemarketing team, I have worked proactively to generate results across central and local government, education and events companies. Day-to-day maintenance of all the gym facilities such as sun beds, changing rooms and sauna, equipment and machines. This role enhanced my people skills, engaging with every member at reception and ensuring they feel comfortable and welcome in the gym. I established friendships with the majority of members through my time spent engaging with the guests. Without the qualifications, I was unable to teach fitness classes, but assisted when setting them up and putting equipment away whenever they took place. Understanding the technology used was key such as an online till system, booking classes, renewing and creating memberships, and monitoring stock levels refilling the fridges where necessary.I was often trusted with keys for opening and closing the gym when alone on shift as I displayed responsibility.My time spent here was cut short by University where I was looking forward to my next challenge.

My confidence was boosted as a result of direct contact with guests, resolving any queries or finding a senior team member if I was unable to help myself. Most importantly, after working here for my first job, I sourced a drive and passion to work and earn valuable income for myself, always putting my name forward for extra shifts where possible. Working in a fast-paced environment also developed my time-management, whilst my punctuality was always good. Team meetings were often exercised, instilling brand values which were considered with every action, whether that was bringing stock up from the cellar, escorting guests to their table that I had set or even taking payment.
