I currently work as the Chief Communications Officer for Anderson School District Three. Through this position, I work to market our district and facilitate internal and external communications creatively. I grew up wanting to be a teacher, so having the opportunity to work at a school district is a dream come true. I also run my own photography business, where I photograph people's most precious life moments. I first started communicating graphically through yearbooks. In college, I worked on the TAPS yearbook while completing a yearbook for a local elementary school. While in Graphic Communications, I completed two internships. My first internship was with Brady's Screenprinting, where I worked on shirt designs and social media content. My second internship was with my current employer and allowed me to grow in the area of brand communications. My passion is storytelling. I love people's stories and communicating positivity. Marketing and Branding allow me to tell my companies story, and tell it well. Being able to illustrate to our community, what makes our district special is favorite part about it.

Chief Communications Officer (Cco)Anderson School District Three Jan 2020 - PresentAnderson, ScAfter working as a Communications Intern for Anderson School District Three, I accepted a position as Marketing and Communications Coordinator. This role has allowed me creative freedom over the companies' social platforms as I assist them in moving into the 21st century. I currently manage and edit seven websites along with the district's app the sites are tied to. I also curate the district's social media channels by monitoring and assisting our five schools with their social media. As part of my duties, I serve as the district's public relations representative to the media and handle internal and external communications. As part of my marketing duties, I work to ensure communications meet brand guidelines while also creating my content to fit these guidelines. Throughout the year, I work on several projects designing marketing materials for magazines, newspapers, billboards, and social media. My main daily goal is to creatively demonstrate our vision and mission graphically while also displaying the primary purpose of our company, which is to facilitate diverse and successful graduates. -
Communications InternAnderson School District Three Jul 2018 - Dec 2019Iva, ScAs a Communications Intern, I assisted with the completion of several major projects and initiatives for the school district. Long ago I recognized a passion for working with children. This internship was the best of both worlds as I was able to work within schools to communicate how the students in our district were performing and growing in the innovative, supporting, and family atmosphere. Over the course of my time with Anderson Three, I worked to assist with the design and upkeep of a new website platform, as well as expanding the districts social media presence. I created Twitter and Instagram accounts for all of the schools in the district. While on staff, I worked to market these initiatives, including a new app. I used my knowledge of photography to capture district events and help cover news. At the conclusion of my internship experience, I had more than doubled the district social media engagement, as well as doubled the app downloads for the district-specific app. After a successful internship experience, the company offered me a fulltime position upon graduation which I happily accepted. -

Department LeadShoe Carnival, Inc. Jun 2015 - Jan 2018AndersonWhat some might consider a "college" job turned into one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had. I began Shoe Carnival straight out of high school, and I quickly worked my way into leadership roles with the company. One of the main advantages of working in retail is learning how to work with the public. I acquired experience in customer service, conflict management, point-of-sale software, and inventory and accounting systems. Working with people is something I enjoy, and Shoe Carnival allowed me to work with diverse people. Learning to work with people from different backgrounds and experiences than me was rewarding in several ways. After less than a year with the company, I was promoted to Athletics Department Lead. In this role, I was responsible for inventory accounting in this department. As Athletics Lead, I ensured the company brand flow was followed according to shoe style and brand. Ultimately my experiences with Shoe Carnival allowed me to grow as a leader. -
Editor-In-ChiefClemson University Aug 2016 - Jul 2017Clemson UniversityAfter leading as the editor-in-chief of my high school staff, I accepted a position as the managing editor of the TAPS yearbook in 2016. In this role I worked as an assistant editor, creating, editing, and organizing layouts withing sections of the yearbook. After this role, I was voted to become the Editor-in-Chief of the TAPS yearbook. Facing declining sales in the digital age, I worked with our faculty advisor to lead a rebranding effort for the publication. I created ad campaigns and raised awareness of the historic 108-year-old publication. Curating and branding a theme every student could relate to, we resold the book as what it is, a core "Element" of the universities legacy. After working with our company sales representative, I reorganized the books ladder to reduce clutter and page count which cut the cost of the publication. After implementing marketing techniques, we were able to reduce the decline of sales for positive growth. Our publication went on to receive rave reviews for its effective branding and theme development. The 2017 "Elements" edition of the TAPS yearbook received recognition in the Jostens 2017 "Look Book" for its cover design.
