Persee Ventures is a venture technology firm that works with promising startups in finance and real estate as well as large financial institutions to bring products to market. We provide companies with the technology infrastructure, predictive models and client-facing interfaces to differentiate and quickly scale their product. Some of the companies we've worked with include:AptAmigo - A full-service real estate broker service in Chicago serving renters looking for luxury units. We worked with the CEO to build the search platform and a custom CRM to track and manage renters as they progress in the search process. AptAmigo is now expanding to operate in its second city.Rock Creek Group - A full-stack risk analytics platform that uses machine learning to understand a fund manager's sources of portfolio risk and return. RCG manages approximately $10B in assets on behalf of pension funds, endowments and sovereign wealth funds.CartoFront - A flood insurance search and quoting engine that allows customers to easily obtain flood insurance. We worked with the team to build an MVP to support their seed round.Schoolhound - A K-12 school search platform that informs parents and school officials of a school's relative performance. Schoolhound's proprietary school attendance boundaries are currently being used by Illinois school districts.OKLocate - A geospatial recommendation engine that uses 200 datasets to find similar locations (e.g. "The Dupont Circle of San Francisco"). Winner of the 2016 LAUNCH Hackathon Travel Category.

Implemented Neo4j's graph database technology to learn from customer behavior and drive analysis for web publishing decisions on company site offering over 500,000 products.

Developed data model and real-time server architecture that enables teachers to view and comment on student work via Classwork.co iPad app. The idea was selected for Imagine K12 education technology accelerator and is now being built for classroom usage.

Proofread and conducted research into national, student and mortgage debt for economists Amir Sufi and Atif Mian's book House of Debt, shortlisted for the Financial Times Business Book of the Year.

EdLocate - Developed, designed and implemented a proprietary methodology and API for providing census-based demographic information targeted to a specific location. The idea was selected as a finalist for the Microsoft Azure Accelerator incubator.School Analyst - Designed interactive K-12 school reports that integrated custom spatial analysis on educational datasets including state-based standardized test reporting, National Center for Education Statistics Public School and Private School surveys and the U.S. Census School District Finances survey.

Chicago Public Schools - Designed a 360° Evaluation program and questionnaire for Capital Renovation Department’s employees and contractors. Researched and diagrammed student transfer processes into and out of Area 30 alternative schools.Legal Prep Charter Academies - Conducted needs assessment in preparation of school opening on the West Side of Chicago. Emphasized consideration of performance metrics.

Algebra I & II - Developed digital curricula using Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and a wiki to provide students with access to quality textbooks and learning material. Juniors raised historical ACT performance on math section by 0.9 points.Freshman & Sophomore Basketball Coach - Significantly enhanced player eligibility through mandatory study halls, teacher communication and valuable partnership with varsity basketball coach.Department Chair - Emphasized the use of objective-based grading scales to shift student focus from obtaining letter grades to "mastering" the course material. 80% of students achieved at least 80% mastery in second year.Teach for America - Attended 5 week institute in Los Angeles and received secondary certification in mathematics and computer science through National Louis University partnership program.

Created Excel workbook that utilized VBA scripting to track on-board software performance for a J-UCAS X45C unmanned fighter jet as part of $900 million DARPA project.
