Finance was always a subject that challenged me to understand how the world around me operates. When I was a kid, my dad told me something stuck in my head forever. He said, “A million dollars is waiting on every street corner.” At first, I was unsure of the meaning behind his words. He grew his business from the ground up, putting in the hard labor and understanding the construction development process. It wasn’t until I understood the financial skills I gained throughout my degree that I realized exactly what he meant. My passion for learning is, ultimately, what guided me to focus on Finance. It is a challenging venture, that I see individual growth potential in. My interests in business, as well as my skills in mathematics, drive me toward achieving my degree. My goals are to grow daily and build a foundation to excel in a career in Finance. I have been passionate about learning and leading throughout my primary and secondary education. Whether participating in the math team or captaining the varsity baseball team, I have tackled problems head-on. Problem-solving was instilled in me at a young age, and challenging myself will build me into the leader I want to be. I am an enthusiastic worker seeking new opportunities and building connections with others. Working part-time while taking a full course load has benefited me with critical skills such as delegating, prioritizing, and managing my time efficiently. Developing myself and the people around me while gaining diverse work experience will always be a priority for me to reach my goals and help others achieve theirs.
