Our hotel receives 150+ guests weekly, both international and local guests, which allowed me to engage with various numbers of guests. Working long hours in all my past jobs has allowed me to work long shifts without tiring out, this has made me an asset in a lot of my jobs. Getting the job done efficiently and with teamwork has been my goal for every task I am given as teamwork is dream work. Our Hotel has received multiple awards for best restaurant and hotel in or respected areas along with being the top recommended hotel on Tripadvisor. During my free time, I would interact with guests to make sure they were enjoying their meals and their stay. Whenever necessary I would step to handle customer complaints to make sure things are handled fairly and just that please the customer but at the same time maintain good relations between employees and the working environment. At the end of a shift, we would do stock with the team, of the bars, meals, and also order items for the restaurant, such as new wines, cutlery, and a few customer requests.

The restaurant was constantly busy hosting functions such as weddings and birthday parties which required me to delegate and assist with the team I worked with, which almost all events where a complete success.

Working in a 5-star hotel required us to deal with a diverse group of guests, which allowed me to understand and appreciate different cultures and perspectives and whilst working under all this pressure, you tend to create a relationship with guests that would next time come back to the company because of this customer satisfaction. Working long hours was also part of the job as certain shifts were short staffed so I was required to pitch in as much as possible, 10 - to 14 hours on average. Working at this Establishment helped me increase my knowledge of pairing wines with the right meals. From my previous work in reception, it helped me to also work part-time in reception voluntary, assisting with checking, payments and bills and processing of invoices.

I worked 6 - 12 hours daily. The restaurant I worked at was a hotspot for tourists and locals to get together and dine. Served an average of 200+ people daily. This helped me gain experience by learning to pay attention to customer requirements and deal with various people and expectations. At the end of the shift, I cleaned the restaurant to help prepare for the next change as we were constantly busy. I also learned how to use the Billing system fast, which helped release the workload on the cashier and I helped close bills whenerever there was too much pressure.
