Creating, in many forms has always been a major part of my identity. I have been doing music work, passionately for the past 10 years. Gradually, I shifted from performance to production, and I realized I really enjoy creating meticulous original projects on computers. To subsidize my music passion, I've worked in a few kitchens and various manual labor jobs. Worn down from unfulfilling jobs, my music excitement started to dwindle, and I eventually took a liking for creating web-based apps. After many months of self-learning online, I enrolled in a programming course at Epicodus, covering React, Ruby, Javascript, Github, Webpack, HTML, CSS, to name a few. Immediately after Epicodus, I worked as an Intern at Goalden Hour, a small start-up, where I practiced agile development in a professional setting as well as learned to use Typescript, and Mobx while working with React. The most important thing I've learned how to think like a programmer. I am able to pick up languages swiftly and have found I can pair-program and work with a team with ease. My strength in React, Typescript, and JavaScript, is my proudest accomplishment during this journey, and the simple pleasure I get from doing front-end design, makes me confident I will do well as a developer.Luckily, I found a Ski and Snowboard shop that needed a website built, right as Covid hit. Landing a job, right out of school, during the onset of the epidemic, was extremely daunting, but I got lucky. I have teamed up with another developer to build and maintain their website. I am the lead front-end developer and my partner is the lead back-end, but we both can take each others' tickets. We have written scripts linking or brick-and-mortar store's inventory with the website, eBay, and a couple of other places, and I have managed the outsourcing of the SEO to an SEO company. While we created the scripts to sync the store's inventory to the other sources, I was able to learn and implement Python for my first time.

My roll is the Project Lead Developer for an art and culture themed online magazine, with an edgy yet refined aesthetic.
